Carla graduated from Jackson State University (Jackson, MS) on a Full 4-Year Army R.O.T.C. Scholarship as an Accounting Major with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Carla also received a Masters of Arts in Human Resource Management from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri. Carla served the United States Army as a Human Resources Officer (42H) and retired at the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in 2022. MAJ (Retired) Jones has served the military community for 20+ years.

MAJ (Retired) Jones had the distinct honor of participating in Operation Enduring Freedom XIII where she deployed to Afghanistan as the Brigade Strength Manager for the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Currahee), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Carla also deployed to Kuwait with the 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
MAJ (Retired) Jones’ awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Meritorious Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1 Star), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, NATO Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (2), German Armed Force Proficiency Badge- Silver and Airborne Parachutist Badge.
